Oscar in the above image, is now an 18-year-old who joined Kalyamaggwa Youth Foundation Uganda Limited at the age of 12.

Oscar’s mother was a School Cleaner who raised and educated him at the School she was working at since it was one of the benefits of  working there but when Oscar’s mother got dismissed he couldn’t further his Education,he stopped in (Senior 2) so the mother took him to one Garage in Busaabala to have him acquire some mechanical skills.

But this particular garage has a lot of youth mechanics that are Drug Users,it surely wasn’t the right place for a young boy to thrive.

Our Director Kalyamaggwa Jafer saw Oscar for some time and sought it right to save him. Amonth after Mr.Jafer had approached Oscar,he came and joined us.

Oscar was trained and is now a great Welder who is well equipped to fabricate Doors,Windows, Gates,Bunker beds, etc.

We are still working on rescuing more youths from that garage and turn their lives around because these very youths are robbers in the night.
